Cobalt는 5년간의 pentest finding과 Emerald Research가 수행한 2025·2026 설문을 결합했다고 설명한다.
AI/LLM pentest finding 중 32%가 high risk로 분류되어 전체 pentest의 12%보다 2.7배 높았다고 보고한다.
AI/LLM high-risk finding의 resolution rate는 38%이며, 나머지 62%는 open 상태라고 보고한다.
자동화 도구가 critical vulnerability를 놓치는 false negative를 경험했다는 응답이 78%였고, 모든 테스트를 full automation에 맡기겠다는 비율은 29%에서 9%로 감소했다고 보고한다.
보고서는 model version, multi-turn interaction, tool access, system prompt, application architecture에 의존하는 flaw가 single-shot 또는 signature-based scanner에 보이지 않을 수 있다고 해석한다.
